Limited Warranty and Installation Procedures
Prior to the installation of your used Japanese engine, we suggest that you perform the following pre-installation maintenance. By performing the pre- installation maintenance you will prolong the life of your used Japanese engine and PROTECT ITS WARRANTY.
The Used Engines comes with a six (6) month warranty, from date of purchase, under normal driving conditions. Engines are guaranteed against engine knock and excessive smoking. This limited warranty is void if engines have been disassembled before our inspection or if the center of the installed heat tab has been melted or removed. Accessories, such as alternators, starters, distributors, carburetors, fuel pumps, and water pumps are not covered under this limited warranty unless otherwise noted on your sales receipt.
Used engines: Sold as long block only, identical replacement unit, tested and steam cleaned. Items not covered but comes as a complete engine (unless noted) e.g., alternator, starter, water pump, distributor, manifolds, carburetor, flywheel, brackets, oil pressure and water temperature sending units, oil pan, valve cover, hoses, belts and/or any others as they were imported from Japan. It is the Buyer's responsibility to change over such accessories and emission control devices as necessary to comply with federal law administered by the Environmental Protection Agency. Applicable state laws may vary from each state. Add-on accessories are specifically excluded from any warranty offered herein.
The Remanufactured Engines come with a two (2) year/ 24,000 mile warranty. You must have your mileage verified by a certified mechanic.
Pre-Installation Maintenance
» The Water Pump, Timing Belt and Front and Rear Seals Are To Be Replaced With New Ones
» Install New Spark Plugs
» Drain and Replace Engine Oil To Manufacturer’s
Suggested Levels
» Replace Oil Filter
» Replace Oil Pan Gasket
» Replace Valve Cover Gasket
» Flush Cooling System and Refill With Anti-Freeze
To Manufacturer’s Suggested Levels
» Replace Thermostat and Gasket
» Install New Belts and Hose
Important Information
» Upon start up, cylinder head must be re-torqued and valves readjusted to manufacturer’s specifications after the engine reaches normal operating temperature and again after the first five-hundred (500) miles.
» Oil and oil filter must be changed again after the first five-hundred (500) miles.
» Follow the periodical maintenance as set forth by the original manufacturer to keep warranty valid.
» A-1 Engines will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages arising from loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, or commercial loss, or any other consequential damages.
